Founder & Managing Director

Since graduating from St. Andrews University, Nathan Gregson has worked across a range of operational and management roles within the sports and gaming industries, including time at Betfair, the market-leading betting exchange, as well as Opta, the world’s premier supplier of performance data. Nathan combines an expertise in the management of financial risk with a passion for sport, and having spent two years exploring a perceived gap in the market, founded Siepe Sports in early 2014.

Chairman

A stockbroker by trade, Compton Hellyer had a successful career in the city before, in 1991, founding Sporting Index, the world leader in spread betting. Having left Sporting in 2003 after it was the subject of a private equity takeover, Compton’s subsequent business interests cover a range of businesses across the sports industry, including senior board positions at The Jockey Club, Golfbreaks.com and 21^st Century Club.

Finance Director

David Johnson is a seasoned financial professional with over 25 years experience working as FD/CFO for a number of high-growth, VC-backed, technology companies operating in areas including internet marketing, CRM software, FinTech, IT consulting and data management. Over the past decade alone, David has taken four businesses through to successful trade exits, most recently a technology recruitment company in 2014, of which he was a founding partner.

Non-Exec Director

Mike began his career in office equipment sales firstly with Saint Group who sold out to Danka and then with the 3i backed ‘buy and build’ Azzurri who sold out to Prudential Private Equity in 2006. Mike entered the Sports business in 2009 working for a small bookmaker in Malta. Although this business struggled, the Chairman introduced him to Opta Sports as Sales Director in 2010. Opta eventually sold out to Perform in 2013 for £40m and he left after a successful earn out in 2014.

Non-Exec Director

Simon is the CEO of Capita Managing Agency and Capita Commercial Insurance Services, providing ‘turnkey’ managing agency services and outsourced back and middle office support to the Lloyd’s market. Prior to Capita he launched Vibe s5678 and was the Director of Underwriting Operations. He was also Chairman of Plus Risk, Vibe’s financial lines MGA. He is also a NED of Icen Risk the leading M&A and Tax W&I MGA.
